Error:Attempted encryption operation is not supported by this version of notes error while opening a db in local.

Db open error. I'm trying to open a db which is developed in version7.5 in lotus notes 8.5.

I have copied the .nsf file in Data folder. When I'm trying to open it promts the error: [strong]"Attempted encryption operation is not supported by this version of notes ".[/strong]

Please help me...

So,,, it is a developed db ,,, which means it has something called customized template and it is not an LN standard template mail85.ntf and this sort of dbs make such issues…..What I really suggest is that you contact the developer who develped it and ask him to help

Try please to access it with the Admin ID , get your Self a ” Full Admin” Permission
And
Right Click this DB ,, Click ” Access Control List ” then Add your ID as a Manager .

Then If you are able to open it or not …

Dear Abushahd,

The main issue i dont hav the db on my workspace for the first time i’m opening it.

Ctrl+O and selecting that db, pops up dat error message.. :( :(
