That is a very rare error, and I believe it has something to do with some kind of resource file.

I have never faced it, so I don't know how to fix it, but a couple things come to mind:

-This could happen due to a corrupt Oracle Forms installation, so I would try re-installing Oracle Developer.
-This could be related to access permissions, so I would make sure the OS user being used has full access permissions on the oracle home and all of its subdirectories.

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for the reply. Actually in my machine Oracle Apps R12 is installed. To work on forms I have opened form builder and created a data block manually and created a canvas in the form module manually. To add items on the canvas, when I am clicking on canvas then first I am getting "VGS-1501: <message not found>" error message and then after canvas is getting opened. But here in the canvas there were no items available in the side tool bar.
Then I decided to build form through wizard. Once the form was created, then when I opened the canvas then again I got the same error message. Here when I tried to run the form, then the form got closed automatically. This problem is related to forms only because I am able to work on Oracle Apps (functionally) and also I am able to develop a report using report builder. Hope you understood the problem. Please help me to fix this.

Thanks

Could you please clarify what you mean by "opening the canvas in the form" ?

Does this happen with other forms as well ?

Also, please let us know if that is the complete error message.
