Error message while restoring the a SQL database onto a mirror database
SQL Server restore, SQL Server database
I took a backup of my main SQL database, and I have created a new database with the name of MirrorDB. When I tried to restore the main database with NORECOVERY, MirrorDB is constantly listed as "Recovering," and it won't stop. I am getting a message that it is in the middle of the restore and cannot be opened. What can I do to stop this?

When you restore the database in the NORECOVERY mode it will stay in the Recovering state. That is expected. You can not access the database which is the mirror of a mirroring solution. You can only access the principle database of the solution.
