The scanpst fails at 76 percent on phase 3 pass

In chkdsk, use automatically fix file system erros and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. You will have to reboot the machine before it runs. This is a very time consuming task, so have it run overnight.

I don’t have scandsk but have run chkdsk It completes but I get the same results with scan.pst
