“Error connecting to server servername: The server is not responding.Error connecting to server servername: The server is not responding…..”
My Lotus Notes and Domino server is configured on same machine.( version 8.5)
And it's working properly.
But when i am trying to configure different user (on different machine) with Domino server it is showing:
"""Error connecting to server <servername>: The server is not responding. The server may be down or you may be experiencing network problems. Contact your system administrator if this problem persists."
I found solution on below link:

But unable to understand it.
Can anyone suggest me more links to solve this problem?

I am guessing the DNS is not configured correctly for the server....
In the Notes client create a connection document in the local address book and add the IP address of the server.
Then I am guessing this should work.
If not check for a firewall etc getting in the way.

frist of all ,, are you able to ping the server using both the IP of the server and the DNS of the server from the machine of the user .
if the louts notes client is working on the PC of the user go to File===> Location===>connections and add the server name and IP of the server for the user .
Also,, check the ports on the “Edit Current” of the user the TCP must be defined .
