Error after V5R2 Cum PTF load....


IBM, AS/400, iSeries, PTFs, IPL, V5R2

On Friday evening I loaded the latest Cum PTF's for V5R2. The box IPL'd without any problems and all the PTF's were "Temporarily applied".
However, after a second IPL yesterday (scheduled weekly IPL) it failed and the screen SRC read B0006 1406.
Has anyone any idea what this could be? The IBM reference manual states : "B006 xxxx It may indicate a common Licensed Internal Code failure."
I have yet to load the Hyper fixes.

Hi,

I would suggest loading the Hiper fixes and seeing if they help (I believe HIPER stands for High Impact PERvasive - which basically means they're important).

Thanks Martin,

I will do a SAVSYS this evening and load the Hiper fixes tomorrow.
I’ll let you know how I get on.
