Hi,
I had a NT4 server that was Exchange5.5 server too,
when we bought two ner server I upgraded this server to w2k server sp4 and make it to be a DC then install w2kserver sp4 on two new computers and made them to be DC ,then upgraded exchange 5.5 server to Exchange 2000 server, then install a new exchange2k server on one of the new DCs and joined it to the last organisationt, then moved mailboxes from upgraded DC to this new Exchange server after that run dcpromo and removed the old DC to make it just a server and formated it.
But from that time I couldn't remove this server from the list of servers and there are some errors and warning message in event viewer.
Could you please help me to remove this serevr??!!
Thank you.

KIA is right on. You may also want to look at KB Article #216498. This explain the use of ADSI edit feature which will allow you to remove any AD metadata that might be stuck in AD.
Did you remove the server from AD sites and Services?
Hi,
yes I removed the server from AD site & services.
The heard that manual removing from AD is too dangrius work!!!!
Is there any other solution?
Thank you.
