Welcome to ITKE, daniel13! This problem may be related to your Curve having an issue with the Java Virtual Machine. I would suggest these steps to solve it.
    1. Remove the battery from the Curve and put it back in. Then, turn it back on.
    2. If the error continues to show, upgrade to the latest BlackBerry device software.
    3. In the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click on "application." Then, click Start on the Update Software area.
    4. Unplug your phone from your computer and you should be all set.

Let us know if that works.

Thank you for your help i really appreciate it a lot. i have does as you suggested so will see how it goes and will let you know in a day or 2. another question: it seems like my media card disconnects and then reconnects and so forth on a continuous basis on its own even though the card is still in the phone as well. could this also be due to the same problem or not? and how can i stop it from doing this? im sorry for the stupid questions but i know nothing about this kind of technology, i know paint.... hahaha

Daniel, it could be a hardware (physical) problem.

If your phone has been dropped, it could be physically damaged, and the only solution might be taking it to a repair shop.

    Good luck.

or you can try to format your memory card and see if it helps, but do backup before formatting, thats if you dont want to get a new memory card
