This is almost a philosophical question - Which server OS would be better for a mid-sized bank, which handles vast amounts of data (approx 3 petabytes) and used Unix up to now: Enterprise Linux, or Microsoft Windows? Obviosly, the answer depends on the specific conditions within the bank, and on the various pricing issues from different vendors (issues such as migration costs, licensing costs, 3rd party support costs). However, I would still be happy to hear opinions & consideration factors worthwhile thinking about. Especially opinions of IT professionals within the Banking industry. Thank you
