Enter key does not get translated when doing a mail merge into word from excel
We are using Mail merge to automate status report generation for our projects. The data source is excel 2007 spreadsheet.

The merge field in excel has multiple lines concatenated with a enter key coded as Char(13) in excel. In some places this key gets translated as _x000D_ in word. This happens only in a few PC's while other PCS word is able to recognize and translate this from excel. Is there any compatibility issue that we need to lookat. All the PC's are running Office 2007 and a combination of XP/Windows 2007.

All tab entries (char(9) are getting translated correctly in all versions of word). One more observation is that this translation does not happen correctly if this mergefield is placed in a word table

Any pointers / help in resolving this issue will be appreciated

Thanks

Karthik
