enter key behavior on forms
when my user hits the enter key, i want it to return to the first field (which is hte id entry key).

You need to set the focus on the filed you want to bring the cursor back into.
You don't say what coding method you are using to get the info from the user. Is it VBA or a macro or some other code.
You should know and post what language you are using with the question.
