Encrypted files in windows 2k


Windows 2000, Encrypted files, Security

I have a folder which belongs to a user this folder contains his files, all files under this folder are encrypted by unknown user account, so the owner of this folder couldn't open those files even the administrator user.
How can I edcrypt this files and make the files under this folder accessable.

Hello Ama,
if you have the decryption key you can take ownership of the files and folder and then read it, if you DON'T have the decryption key to my knowledge you cannot read the files.
