We have always written lotusscript to archive documents from databases. We don't use Notes mail, so I was never exposed to the standard archving functions. I have now set up archiving for one large database so it should only hold 7 days of data. Older documents go to an archive database, which is set to purge documents older than 83 days. Combined, we should retain 90 days of data. However, the archiving process does not run on a schedule, so the active database now has 14 days of documents. Do I have to schedule compact -a on a regular basis for archiving to occur?
