I have a server without a floppy drive. Can I make the ERD on a USB key and boot to it the same as a floppy. My server has the usb boot option in BIOS.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Although you can boot from a USB device, IIRC the ERD isn’t a bootable floppy.

What is your intended purpose? Is the server down and you need to recover? Another option is to create a bootable CD with some kind of PE environment to get you up to be able to ‘see’ the server contents.

Do a google for FLASHBOOT, it’ll point you in the right direction to getting USB devices to boot.
