 EMC vs Isilon
Who uses Isilon? Has anyone seen a pros and cons list developed for Isilon? I'm doing some research on Isilon, EMC, and Pillar Systems. We are a media content driven organization and the content will be stored on one of the three or a combination of the three storage company's products. At the same time we are planning storage for our business content. Any news on Isilon other than their press releases and stuff from their marketing and sales department will help. Thanks WAM

Answer Wiki:
In your case isilon would be good for your media files. EMC would be good for your business files. Beyond that it depends on a host of other factors. Since this post started in 2007, you have probably settled on a solution. Let us know what you chose and why.

I don’t have an info on Isilon. I’m a huge EMC fan however. What sort of IO will you be pushing to the system? With EMC, the solutions are fairly pricy, but when you purchase the correct platform the system will perform great for years.
