Emails coming through in Plain Text format with original message sent as .msg attachment
We seem to be experiencing intermittent problems mentioned in the question title field when receiving emails from a particular mail server. An email in Plain Text format is received which has a .msg attachment containing the original message which was meant to be sent. The Plain Text email containing the attachment contains the sending company's disclaimer in the body. Unfortunately both our mail server and the sender's mail server was upgraded to Exchange 2000 from Exchange 5.5 around the same time and can therefore not identify where the problem started from. This issue never occurred before Exchange migration. A point in the right direction would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Answer Wiki:
I have only seen this in IMAP with an incorrect configuration. What protocol are you using? If you are using IMAP did you disable html messaging? If you did you will need to reenable it to allow for the messages to be sent properly. Also never upgrade more than 1 production server at a time!
