Hi Group! I have been checking so many articles related to email configuration on iSeries. I just need to add an option in our application like a compose mail option and when they fill the message body and  it should go to one default mail id for ex. as400@xxx.com with their USER PROFILE NAME. How can I achieve this? Please explain me step by step. Sureyz.

Do you want the user profile name as part of areply to e-mail? Or is there just a generic email to use for a sender ID like your 'as400@xxx.com'  to handle outbound and inbound e-mails?.

We are using the SNDTCPSPLF command.  I think it has to do with our program that merges as/400 spool file with a form overlay. We are using a program called PDFing running on a pc on out network. Our code looks like this.

       CHGVAR VAR(&EMAIL) VALUE('EMA=RECIPIENT@COMPANY.COM')

                 SNDTCPSPLF RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) +
                              PRTQ(&EMAIL) +
                              FILE(QSYSPRT) JOB(&JOBNR/&USRNM/&JOBNM) +
                              SPLNBR(&SPOOL) DESTTYP(*AS400) +
                              TRANSFORM(*NO) INTNETADR('10.10.8.10')
                              ENDDO

Here is a link to IBM with some good info for different type because I'm not sure how your mail server is set up.
