email attachments sent from the as/400 either via SPOOLFLEX or the SNDDST command to a mobile device (a T-Mobile phone) arrive with carats (<>) around the file name. (i.e. <test.txt> instead of test.txt) As a result the mobile device cannot open the attachments..PDF's, txt etc. etc. Is this a SNDDST/Iseries issue or is it a mobile device issue? The emails go through an exchange server but can be viewed normally on a PC. In OUTLOOK they do NOT have the carats around the name. ANY IDEAS???

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Not much in the way of help, but if it gets to the PC correctly, then it has to be an issue with the mobile device. The System i wouldn’t send the message one way to one device and differently to another — assuming the only thing different in the SNDDST statement is the Internet Address.
