Q:
email attachments
I am curious to know whether picture attachments sent through email have a possiblity of being found someplace else on the internet like in an image search on search engines like google and yahoo? it has always been a mystery to me as to whether sending picture through email only goings to the person you are ending them to and not out there for everyone to see.

Unless someone intercepts your email by hacking your computer or account then the image you send them will only be viewable to them. Personal email is personal, not public.

================
Email logs may be maintained by hosts through which the messages travel. These logs may have the names of the attachment files and sizes. It is very difficult to be on a network without leaving some trace of activity. The pictures may not be able to be read but the fact you sent something to someone may be traced along the path between the source and destination.

Unless your email is encrypted it leaves footprints on every mail server it reaches on the way to it’s destination path (server where email account is located)
