Outlook 2010 appointments to public folder calendar

At a previous job, I used to be able to email appointments to an Outlook public folder calendar and it would add it to the calendar.

At my current job, when I send an appointment to a public folder calendar, it sends, but never updates the calendar with the appointment.

Not sure if this functionality was removed in Outlook 2010 (as we used Outlook 2000 previously), or if this is just something that my network manager may not have configured correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Exchange 2003, Outlook 2010, Windows 7

It is something that your network admin has not setup. I don’t know what Exchange Server you are using but the calendar needs to be set to “Automatically Except Invitations”, also a good setting is to make it so the Calendar does not care about conflicting appointments. Best way is to set the Calendar as a User rather than a Public Folder. Have to open it within Outlook and apply those settings. I hope this helps :)

Thank you! I checked my account settings and it was set to cached. Although, it still does the same thing when it's not in cached mode. We are current with our updates. It's almost like I am sending to the wrong account, so I asked my guys to look deeper. I added the Calendar accouunt to my list of additional accounts to open, and I see all my test invites sitting in the InBox. If I accept one, it goes to the Calendar, but doesn't put it on the Public Folder Calendar. The same scenario happens when I try to averlay mine with that calendar...completely blank, even though the Public Folder calendar has plenty of appointments already scheduled. As soon as the guys look at it, I will update the post. Thank you for your time and consideration!
