Answer Wiki:
Did you try and run disk cleanup and/or defrag on the system? ************ Is this an ISP POP3 account or an exchange account?Try removing your outlook profile and creating a new one. If this is a POP3 account try repairing the .pst with scanpst.. It would be helpful to know what you have tried so far. Uninstall/re-install office if creating a new outlook profile does not work. Was it working before and now does not work? Please provide more details. Thanks. ~ technochic

I am experiencing the same issue.

We are using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. I have tried recreating the PST file with a new account setup to no affect. The curios thing is that this happens on all five of our networked PC’s. If you try sending an e-mail of around 4MB+ the error message appears and the message stays in the Outbox, but does actually get to the receipient. All machines are sending out on BT’s SMTP server and receiving on a third party POP3 Server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
