I have an AT&T Router/modem bringing the internet in. I have a Netgear N6300 hard wired to it to feed 4 IP cameras. I have a Netgear N600 hard wired to the N6300. I the have the N600 connected to a Netgear Prosafe 5-gigabit switch which feeds my smart-Tv and Blueray disc. My question is: Is this the most efficient way to run my home network?

Whatever procedure you have taken, if it reduces cost and if you are comfortable to use then it is the fittest way. However you can check if any cable/wire (if any) should not loose its connection during service.
