eDirectory Authentication in SharePoint 2010

Hi, I am trying to setup edirectory authentication in SharePoint 2010, but I am not sure which mode I have to use, forms authentication or claim base authentication?

In SharePoint 2010, FBA makes use of claims based authentication. For integration with edirectory you would look to use claims along with potentially a custom claims provider
