EDI running on V5R4 OS iSeries
We are currently looking at upgrading our OS for the iSeries to V5R4. The stopping block is support for EDI and Cyclone. We are in the process of moving EDI to our Unix system the project will not be complete by the time we are scheduled to do the upgrade. EDI and Cyclone say they no longer support the products on iSeries. Has anyone run into this issue and upgraded OS and not had a problem with the EDI products? May have to leave one LPAR at V5R3 until Unix has gone full blown with the EDI products. Any suggestions will be helpful.

If they no longer support it, what problem do they have with you running it on V5R4 without support? Has it been enough of a problem that you can’t risk a short period? Or does it simply not run run at all on V5R4? (I’d be leery of such a product.)
