Easy and faster way to pull data from a server using ODBC (VBA)

    Please explain what is meant by "manage data". Data from an AS/400 database doesn't lend itself well to being 'managed' by a spreadsheet program. However, ODBC can be used to populate an Excel spreadsheet. It's also not clear what is meant by "couple of options". Are you wanting to try purchased products for ODBC rather than just using the native driver? -- Tom

    Tom thank you for the reply. our company has AS400 and I am able to pull some raw data through ODBC. I have query build up but it takes time to pull data into excel and then put into order through formulas. I am looking for an easy and faster way to execute the query and management of data in excel

    Much more needs to be known. What query is a problem? What's the definition of the table being queried? What is the OS release and what is the DB2 group PTF level? There might be more questions based on those answers. Not enough is known to guess which ways might give results. -- Tom
