E8940 error on i5 with v5 r3 on xp computers


V5R3, i5, QAUTOVRT

I am getting E8940 -Automatic configuration failed or not allowed when opening more than one 5250 session. I have an i5 with OS v5 r3. I don't get this error on W2k pc's but do on XP pc's.

My Qautovrt is set to 350 so I know that's not the issues. Any ideas???

Hi,

Are you sure that you haven't exceeded your 350 devices? If not, I suggest you take a look at the following system values :-

QAUTOCFG
QAUTORMT
QPASTHRSVR
