Every month we have to gather BMRS tape usage data across 14 LPARs by copying the stats from a report and pasting it into an e-mail and also a Lotus Notes Document, which is a checklist item which gets posted as a Daily report.    I would like to know how one could read these stats into one report then e-mail it , then have the data populate a Lotus Notes database document and/or popluate a spreadsheet on a remote pc?  Please go through the steps, concepts, and tools one would need in order to do this.  Thank-you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you need to look at file QUSRBRM/QA1AMM that holds the BRMS media inventory. Maybe you also want to consider (or have done) setting up a BRMS network with all your LPAR’s in them. If you have no BRMS network setup you will need a means to combine the QA1AMM files from the different LPARs. Extract the data you want into a report and mail it to whoever needs to have the report. On getting the data into a Lotus Notes Data base I cannot help you, but I think that there should be tools for converting from iSeries data base to Lotus Notes Data Base .
