I have a requirement to do something like Built in advanced search in Lotus Notes. I must provide a way for the end users to filter the views based on the search criteria they give on run time in Client. They do not have designer access so I cannot use view.selectionformula. Can you please help me out with some solutions.... plz....

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you let the user fill in a document which holds his/her selection criteria and then have a scheduled agent or an ‘agent.runonserver’ pick up this document and use it to alter the view’s selection formula. Would this be a solution?

I think that you could use DXL for exporting some view criteria, change it on the fly (with what your user choose) and then re-import to Lotus. Maybe you would find some stuff about that trick on Internet...

See here : http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/ddwiki.nsf/dx/ls-design-programming.htm but i'm afraid that you will have to have Designer access too...
