SRDF stands for Symmetrix Remote Data Facility and is used to replicate data between EMC's Symmetrix family of Storage Arrays
Static SRDF refers to having emc setup the source(R1 devices) , destination (R2 devices) and SRDF configuration in the bin file ( Symmetrix Configuration File )
Dynamic SRDF refers to setting up the R1 and R2 devices online with no bin files changes required, this can be done by the user using the command line, SMC or ECC
