how can i convert autocad file (.dwg) to .stp file format?

It is easy to convert .stp to .dwg, but opposite is really heard! Though not sure, one of my colleague did the task earlier by renaming the files with extension .txt and for view purpose u can dnld viacad2d3d sw. But before do that, must take backup / copy of ur acad original files / folders related to.
