DWA access to server names.nsf when working on local copy

In DWA, you click Go Offline to browse your historical email replicated in the local harddisk by DOLS. Old emails can't be found in our server because the server has only a few days retention, so DOLS is always activated to save mails in local harddisk. But when offline, or working locally, DWA only shows the local contacts, so you can't forward old emails to persons in the server address book (unless you memorize them and type them manually). (1) How can DWA show the server names.nsf when working locally OR (2) how can DOLS replicate the server names.nsf and how can DWA working locally show this replicated names.nsf? Thank you very much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can make the NAB available offline by editing your server’s Notes.ini file and including the following:

$DOLSDirectoryCatalog=nameofcatalog.nsf

The path to the directory is specified relative to your server’s Data directory.

This will show up in the user’s offline Preferences as the selection “include server’s name and address book”

You will probably want to run dircat and compile a directory catalog to save space rather than using the server’s entire names.nsf, which has a lot of info the user doesn’t need.
