I just started getting duplicate messages in my inbox. The date and the time is exactly the same. It isn't all my messages but enough to be an irratation. I was using outlook express and then changed to Outlook 2000 with the same result. Some of the messages are in triplicate! Ideas on how to stop this would be appreciated.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I see this all the time in my office – do you use smtp/[pop? and if so are you also using a web mail client? This can reset the bit that says a message was downloaded or not.

What is your mail server? Were you logging into the mail server from two seperate machines? This can cause this to happen as well.

If you are using iMail or something simiar they reccomend deleting the dynamicly created files in your home directory just leaving the dbx files and having the server recreate the view on next login.

KarlG, I am using POP3 for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing. This is my personel computer and do not have web mail. My Internet server is Charter and I only log on from one machine. lorenh
