well you can do that by removing the whole logical drive of your hard disk then make a new file allocation table on it by using fdisk to create logical drive on the hard disk, its up to you if you still want to have partition on your hard drive, if your satisfied already on how your drive will be setup time to format, either do it the old fashion way or put the windows xp cd and let it boot first then proceed with the normal installation when it ask you where to install the windows xp operating system, it would ask you format your drive with options on it (im not quite sure the exact wordings on the option you have when installing the windows xp) choose format with NTFS then it would format your drive to have the file allocation, after that it would proceed to normal windows xp installation..then after installation is done it should just boot on windows xp operating system directly without prompting for an option what operating system that you would like to boot up.i hope i answered your question. ------------------------------------ Those boot options are from a hidden file in your C drive called boot.ini.
