You can dual boot this without any problems. I dual boot XP with different IE versions for testing purposes. Edit the boot.ini so you can name each instance, like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”XP SP2″ /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”XP SP3″ /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
Then when you boot you can select the desired instance easier. I also rename my computer to the instance name so I can easily identify which one is active.
