 dual-boot with linux
I am running Windows XP Home on my laptop and want to install a linux OS (Fedora Core 7)on the 4GB of unpartitioned space on my hard drive. Would this cause any conflicts with my Windows OS?

It should not create any problems (I have done this with Ubuntu) but you want to be sure that the bootloader like GRUB or whatever Fedora uses recognizes and will boot to the other OS. My concern is that 4GB may be too small of a partition to do a lot with this OS. Is there a particular reason you are looking at Fedora 7? The current version is <a href="http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora">Fedora 9</a>.
