 DTS FTP taks with proxy server

Hi all. Our institution has FTP traffic going through a proxy server. I can get here ftp://ftp.geneontology.org/pub/go/doc/GO.xrf_abbs just fine through Internet Explorer but NOT using an FTP task in DTS. So... does the FTP task basically ignore your IE connection settings? Thanks for info.

Yes, it does. If your connection settings in TCP/IP are set to always use the firewall, FTP will use it. If not, it doesn't know the firewall.
