 DST problems coming back.
Is anyone seeing DST things happening with Exchange Calendaring. I'm seeing meetings pop up an hour off even know we have the DST patch on the clients and servers from the 2007 work.

Answer Wiki:
For problems of an urgent nature, contact Microsoft CSS/PSS. If you applied the time zone patches on Exchange server and all clients, and the Exchange CDO patch on Exchange server, you generally shouldn't see such issues. However, if new computers pop up on the network (or old ones are rebuilt) without the correct time zone updates, and these are used to create meetings - the appointments get created with the older timezone data. Other considerations: mobile devices like BlackBerry and WIndows Mobile that are used to create/modify meetings. If these do not have the correct time zone information, you will have such issues.

Dear EastCoastGuy:

I have seen this in recurring meetings that were originally scheduled by colleagues outside of the USA. Those meetings now show up 1 hour ahead because of the DST time change, however, it doesn’t matter much because the meeting times are still good.

I agree that last year’s go-around with Microsoft and the DST Patch should have resolved all issues. Perhaps the timezone is off on those that are having problems?

Also keep in mind that even after the exchange servers and client PC’s have been patched, you still have to run the microsoft outlook calendar update tool. If everyone is still off after an hour then I think you still need to run either the exchange calendar update tool or the outlook client calendar update tool.

It depends on how many users need to be updated as to which you might choose to run.
