Dropdown Window connecting… Help!

Ok, to get to the point, I'll talk about the WHAT, I am asking the HOW and I'll leave out the WHY. I have 3 peices of Data, + credits (positive credits), - credits (negative credits) and I want a dropdown window to the left that stores ways of 'getting' those credits or losing them, each way assigned a base value of credits. What I want done with those 'ways' is to connect them to the + credits or - credits based on whether the 'way' is negative in gaining the credits, or positive in gaining the credits (example: litter, you lose credits, and it 'adds' to the negative credits). However, I also want to be able to clear the + credits and - credits (+ credits if you spend them, - credits if you repay them back). So...an example of a situation is as follows: Someone cleans a yard, you click the dropdown window, and click 'Clean up Yard' and it 'adds' 5 credits to their + credit to the right. Now, say they spend them, you then can clear those credits to 0. However, if they didn't spend the credits, and cleaned another yard, I would bring up the dropdown window, click 'Clean the Yard' and it 'adds' to the present value of 5 already in + credits. Get me so far? I have tried to figure this out, short of adding coding into the program, and searched Access help books. The site is a pain to find the answers without describing them because it's asking the question in google that is a pain. Also other's get a feel and can directly help without you having to apply someone else's problem to yours. If that system I proposed is unable to be implemented, please tell me and I'll have to bring up an alternative system. Any suggestions on WHAT alternatives I could use would be helpful as well, but not obligated to do so ^^. Thank you.
