The software doesnt come with .exe extension. But only .inf files. so that I couldnt install in compatbility mode.

It comes with a ‘yellow exclamation’ mark in device manager. I removed and made it re-detect, but no improvement. It is plugged directly into a USB 2.0 port. The same device, if I put it in XP machine it works.
