Public folders
I have a series of public email folders. Currently if I drag and drop an item from one folder to antother the item gets duplicated into the destiantion folder and a copy remains in the source folder. I need to be able to use drag and drop to actually completely move the item from the source folder to the destiantion folder without keeping a copy in the source folder. Can you advise, firstly if this is possible and if so what settings need to be changed to do this?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

This is the default behavior in public folders (and much of the Windows GUI) and I don’t believe it can be changed.

However, Instead of clicking with the left mouse button, use the right mouse button to drag and drop the object. This will then present you with an menu with options– one of which is MOVE.

Thanks for this. I also found out that you can hold the shift key down whilst left mouse dragging and dropping. Unfortuantley due to the type of users we have both options are not ideal. Does anyone know if there is any add-ins that can be purchased or developed to enable the standard drag and drop functionality?
