At a prior job, we used CVTTOSTMF - a piece of freeware. It worked great for taking spooled output to an Email attachment that users could open via Excel. Needed to get it to physical file for the command to process it. The good news (then) was that it was already installed. The bad news (now) is that chasing down the documentation (some is in Portuguese) and getting it installed is a challenge. It's a longshot, but look to see if it already exists on your 400.

Try to work with your "iSeries Navigator" 1. Click Basic Operation Folder 2. Select Printer Output 3. Mark the File then Copy or Cut 4. Create a new folder in your PC or paste it in an existing folder Now it is a *.txt file 5. Open Office Excel Program. 6. Open the *,txt file It must be open with Text Wizard to enable the column select - Fixed width, then next, now delete or add column up to finish
