I have downloaded oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10203vista.html. (compressed Zipped). This is what my Professor wanted the class to use.I have done. When I open my documents there is a name db then it says file folder.I have all of these folders, but I still can not get to the home page of oracle. We are to set up/create a database using the login/passwords that he assign to us. This is my first time doing this, and I am very confused, and lost. Could someone please help me with this.

You will need to explain your situation with more details.
What do you mean by “there is a name db” and “then it says file folder”?
Did you install the software you downloaded ? Did you get errors during installation ?
“but I still can not get to the home page of oracle“: How are you trying to get to that page ? Are you getting errors ?
If this is the driver library for Oracle, you will also need to download and install the client that is listed further down the page. This is what will allow you to interact with Oracle. You might want to see if some of your class mates could help you out.
That url points to a database server download, so if Candycane513 is going to interact with the database from the same machine where the server is installed, no additional client software is needed.
But we don’t really know what the professor requirement is.
