 Downgrading from Vista to XP
I am trying to downgrade IBM thinkpad lenovo x61 tablet from Vista to XP, when I try to boot on the XP install cd the system is unable to see C: I get and error message "Unable to locate driver for hard disk" no the exact message close, any suggestions?

That is because your XP disk does not have the drivers for your hard drive interface. You will have to hit F6 for additional drivers. You will have to have this driver on a floppy disk drive. You will have to have an external USB floppy drive if you do not have an internal. You will have to determine from IBM website which driver you need. If you have the technical skills, you can slip stream the drivers into your XP OS disk. You should also check to ensure that IBM has drivers for all your other hardware, like Video, Audio, chipset, wired and wireless network interface etc.
