Is there any straightforward way to save an Excel file as a PDF while retaining the functionality of the drop down menus? I have a few drop downs that I've added to an excel file and I want to save this file as a PDF to the point that I can open the PDF and change the drop down menus. Can this be done through VBA? Could it be done through a full version of Adobe?

Software/Hardware used:
Excel, VBA, PDF

I've never heard of it being done (though some clever programs have been written that I've never heard of).   Excel is a Microsoft product, and .PDFs through Adobe is an Adobe product. A .PDF is intended for maintaining printer compatibility. It has essentially nothing to do with maintaining functionality of any program that generates printed output.   The Excel spreadsheet is not contained within the .PDF file. Only a printed representation is included. As such the request doesn't make sense. If you want Excel functionality, then don't generate a .PDF from it. Just use the spreadsheet.   Tom
