Domino Web Access Warning

After recently upgrading from Domino 6.5.1 to 6.5.3, I received complaints about sporadic problems with web mail. One user received a "Domino Web Access Warning" message which I have not seen myself. Does anyone know what this is and how to eliminate it? Thank you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It could be the browser release. Did 6.5.1 have GZIP compression is on by default? We went from 6.0.2 to 6.5.2 and had problems with the various browser levels.

In IE 6.0 support for GZIP is broken. You need to have Service Pack 1 on at least (6.0.2800… is what the version will show as I believe).

There’s some IE fixes that seem to have an impact on this too. we ended up disabling GZIP on the server via the NOTES.INI for now.

What I have found to be the biggest culprit is add-on toolbars (Yahoo, Google, AOL), browser hijackers and spyware. About 60% of my users are DWA users (XP SP 2, I.E. 6)and this is a huge source of headaches.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have also recently been notified about Domino 6.5.3 Fix Pack 1, which I immediately installed on this server. I don't know if it addresses my particular issue, but I have not received any further complaints about the Domino Web Access Warning.

Fix pack 1 did not resolve the problem, but it seems that allowing popups via browser settings may have done the trick.
