Someone might be able to help. If you could tell us the OS you’re moving from and the one you’re moving to, it should make helping a little easier. — Tom
If you are not changing the Program and the Data locations then this is very easy.Simply COPY the data from OLD Server to the new server and then run the install…. over the top of the files that are there,If you want to change Data locations…. then you can put the data in the right location and change the Notes.ini to the new location…..This is for WINDOWS to WINDOWS – the other OS’s I will need a bit more data.plus remember there is always BUILD NEW Domino server – add to Domino Domain… Replicicate all needed data and then switch the IP’s and Server ID’s
Firstly, Make sure to copy the following :- Server.id , Notes.ini and all nsf files and all id files Secondly, what are tbese OSes Finally , You can refer to these URLshttp://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21087009Thanks
All you need to remember is that the Domino Software does not care where it sits… the data if available to the software will be read. So moving an .nsf from Windows to iSeries does not matter as log as it is in the Data directory.
