HI Did you log in as the notes user you used during installation script. You did login as root and run the install I am sure. Also did you run /opt/lotus/bin/checkos to make sure you have all the pre-regs

What flavour of Linux are you using? SuSE, Redhat…CentOS?

We are using RedHat linux 3. We have login as mentioned in the domino instalaion guide taken from ibm site(as mentioned by fpoeta). Can any confirm me whether they have the same combination of OS and Domino(RHE 3 & Domino6.5). Whether Domino6.5 is combatible to RHE3?

Try a 2.6.X kernel

Agreed – I think RHEL3 is your problem. I Googled ‘Domino installation RHEL4′ and found two blogs referencing failures to install under RHEL3. You can probably find these yourself as well.

If you follow the install guide. Then the nex step is to make sure that you decided where you want to do a local setup or a remote setup. There are steps that need to be followed for these to work. By the way did you run /opt/lotus/bin/CheckOS. This wiill tell you if you have all the required libraries.

In the ibm site itself it is recommend that RHEL 3 would be compatible only with Domino 6.5.X and not 6.5. The Domino 6.5 can be combined with Linux 2.1. Please Confirm me is it correct or not.
