Domino Exchange Sync

Platform Issues
Hello. I have a small problem. My company wants to migrate an existing Exchange 2k server to Exchange 2k3 server. I am not very happy with MS Exchange, so I decided to migrate my mailbox to a Domino server I set up. My problem is: I want, somehow to sync my mail from domino with that on exchange, without using the MS Exchange Connector (I don't want to install a LN Client on the Exchange machine). Furthermore, I want to work in the Lotus Environment as I do in the Exchange. Are there any solutions to my problem? Best regards, Andrei

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You have to use Exchange Connector if you want to synchronize (migrate) all mailboxes from Exchange to Domino as the mail boxes have to be converted from Exchange format to Notes format:

or

If you want to migrate only mail boxes, use the tool provided in Lotus Domino Administrator to import .pst files to lotus notes mail files.
You’ll find details on how to do this on Lotus Administrator Help “Migrating a mailbox folder hierarchy”
I don’t think you can work in Lotus Environment as you do in Exchange as they are two different systems but you can connect Outlook to Domino and use it as mail client if you want…but you’ll gona lose some functionalities provided by Lotus notes as client in that case !

Hi, if you are still using that ms exchange server, then you can do the setup in the exchange server, to relay mails to your domino server. Domino server should be a smtp server. For this to work, you dont need a connecter. But for converting existing mail boxes, from exchange to notes, then u need those tools. thanks
