Answer Wiki:
Please check whether the database has been enabled by Document Locking... Database ------> Properties-------> Allow document locking... Is it is a Soft locking or Hard Locking? Soft locking: If a document has been locked only on one replica then it is called as Soft Locking. Hard Locking: If the same document has been locked on all the replicas then it is called as HARD LOCKING.. You can disable that by adding notes.ini parameter on the users client machine who use that database. EDIT_NO_SOFT_LOCKS=1 Let me know, if the above solution works for you?? Thanks for your reply. I do not have the "Allow document Locking" option on the properties tab for the data base enabled. So, I guess I do not have "hard Locking". And I still get the message. Regarding the soft locking, I do not know if other users of the system (there are about 150, worldwide) have it set or not. I do not on my local client. But shouldn't the Hard locking Off override the soft locking? Thanks
