 Domain vs workgroup
I set up a software programme on server 2003 and used it on workstation by workgroup set up instead of domain.there seems to be lot of errors coming with use of the software mostly on server,which is non dedicated. Would domain solve this problem?

1.cannot load 3d view of a chart on server but working on workstation.

It’s hard to tell without more details, but I don’t think it has something to do with the domain/workgroup network configuration. I think it could be related to the different operating systems that the programm is running on, and the software installed on each one.

Ok,the server 2003 is runnin on dell t100 server and the workstation on vista. Can we load vista is on dell t100 – server .
What happens with server 2003? Or should I have a new desktop in place of server 2003

Answering to the original question: No, I don’t think that creating a domain will solve the problem.

What to do ?

I think it depends on the specific operations the program executes or the functions it calls. Maybe it is executing some operations that are not fully supported in some operating systems.

I would recommend to perform a complete test of the application in all operating systems where it is going to run on, before moving it to production.
